Statement from State Senator Jamie Eldridge on his Successful Re-election to a Fourth Term
I would like to thank the voters of the Middlesex and Worcester district, made up of 14 communities, for strongly supporting my re-election to serve as your State Senator. While I was unopposed this year, I worked hard to attend as many district meetings and community events as I could and learn about residents’ concerns.
This coming 2015-2016 legislative session, I plan to continue to fight to combat inequality, protect the environment, invest in infrastructure, increase state education aid, create jobs, reform our criminal justice system, combat climate change, improve government transparency, strengthen the social safety net, expand access to quality health care, reform our campaign finance system, reduce poverty and fight corporate special interests.
I want to thank my tremendous State House staff for their incredible work improving public policy and helping constituents throughout this session. I am excited for the opportunities to create even more change that will make a difference in the lives of Massachusetts residents in the next session.
Finally, I want to thank my parents, Dave and Betsy Eldridge, and my sister Amanda and her family, for their strong support throughout the past two years. For those interested in being in touch with me about campaign issues or ideas, please email me at Jamie@jamieeldridge.com. Feel free to also reach out to me on policy ideas or constituent concerns by contacting me at James.Eldridge@masenate.gov. For those active on social media, please visit me on Twitter at @JamieEldridgeMA, my Facebook profile, or my government website www.SenatorEldridge.com.
I look forward to working with my colleagues, municipal officials, community leaders, and the people of the Middlesex and Worcester district to continue to move Massachusetts forward.
Thank you again for your strong support during this election season.
